Leisure and Hobbies 

One of my favorite silly little moments of leisure every day is making and trying new coffees. This one is a seasonal cold brew from California Adventure that I got when my brother and I stayed at the Disneyland hotel for a mini-vacation. I love making coffee and experimenting with different types. flavors, creamers, and styles of making coffee. My absolute go-to will always be a vanilla cold brew or americano with cinnamon on top, but I love experimenting with flavors and techniques.  I even love decaf because I just love the taste and smell of coffee. I love trying new coffees in new places. My town and religious community have a big “coffee shop” culture, so local coffee shops are a big part of the social scene in my area and with my friend group.  I also work late nights a lot of the time, so coffee is necessary. Coffee is a really easy way to do a little bit of self-care every day.

Another leisure activity that I engage in outside of the ones mentioned in the video is pin collecting! While some people go all in and seek pins of value or specific sets, I just like to collect the ones that I like. I have a lot of Marvel pins, old Disneyland attractions, Stitch, and Duffy (Mickey Mouse’s Teddy Bear). At Disney, I enjoy going around and hunting for pins I like, and I also enjoy pin trading at work; it’s one of my favorite ways to interact with my guests and have fun! I feel like pin collecting, collecting pins from different trips and of different books, movies, and other interests, is a really fun way to show a bit about who I am. (As you might be able to tell from my pin board, I like Captain America). I also enjoy organizing and displaying pins, and it’s something I enjoy showing people. It’s a fun way to strike up conversations with people as a cast member, so it also adds some leisure to my work day!
